This is a picture of my latest craft project a Halloween Wreath.

I made this wreath using the metal type wreath form and 8 yards of tulle, I added the ribbon, skulls and letters (I painted them)all purchased from Joann's. I love doing something new once and a while. It helps me break a streak of non crafting... Keeping my fingers crossed! Have a great weekend everyone!

Bugaboo Brat Witch

What a crazy summer it has been, and now it seems it is drawing to a close. I am very sad that it is, I love Fall but knowing what it brings doesn't excite me any. We are planning to go to AZ in the next few weeks to find a home. No we aren't moving again, just buying a retirement home while the pricing is still so good. So I maybe spending a little more time there this winter so I guess that helps.

Anyway on to my card, today I colored up the little Bugaboo Brat Witch, she was so much fun. Of course if you are ever around you know about me and Halloween. I used Nesties for the cuts, the designer paper is K & Co.. I put a cute little poem on the front also if you can't read it, it says "When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, 'tis near Halloween." The inside is decorated also with another yellow moon the says "Witching you a Happy Halloween!" I hope this finds everyone healthy and happy and enjoying the last days of summer. Bugaboo Boy

Wow what a long time I was MIA, I got a quick chance today (while the kids went into town) to finish a card that I started weeks ago. I had the image colored and ready to go but hadn't done anything with it. We are getting closer to them moving into our little guest house it should be any day now. I will then get the honor of going thru all my things and rearranging them since there will be no bed in the room anymore either. Yay! Except to the going thru the things part... :)I love to craft, I love things organized I just don't do so well on it. If I do get it to organized then I don't want to dirty it up by doing a card. Crazy I know it is like having a spotlessly clean kitchen, I don't want to cook in it. If only we had that option right?

Hello everyone, I am hoping your week is going well! I have been busy working in my yard trying to get all the flowers I purchased months ago in their beds for the summer. The property we purchased last year had been neglected for several months before we moved in so we have had to replace the grass and we are trying to get all of it spruced up. Maybe one day it could look good enough to put on Craftsy.com have any of you ever checked out this site? They have numerous categories you can post pictures in, I have put some of my latest cards there. They do have an area for gardening which is great, it is always nice to see what everyone does. Magazines are great but I don't know about you but I probably will never get that exact look! Haha I dream of it though...
Anyway to the card, this is a Kenny K's digital she is called JessiJane. I thought she was a great card for a 26 year old guys birthday. Hopefully he will too!

This is a easel card, I really love doing these they are fun and easy to do.
Another site you should check out if you haven't already is one called Pinterest, this site is cool because as you are roaming the internet and find a great picture of anything you like or would like to save you can pin it and keep it for later. It is like adding to your favorites only just one picture at a time rather than the whole site. Plus you can get back to the site you found it on too! You can set up your own boards and pin the stuff you like such as Cards, Scrapbook pages, pictures, furniture, DIY etc. This is my boards page and you can follow people who have the same interests as yourself.

Meljen's Sick Little Bear

I made this card for Nate a 3rd cousin of ours who is having surgery on Monday, Nate is a special needs child that is going to be 5 in September and is going to have a colostomy. I hope this little guy gets well real soon and our prayers go out to him and his family. Hopefully this will put a smile on his sweet face when he receives it.

Crafty Secrets that is... I know crazy huh? Posting a Halloween card in June? I love Halloween and the lady at the PO here in town leaves Halloween items up all year round, her Mother collects witches she told me. So I told her I would make her Mom a Halloween card. I got these stamps a couple months ago now and really wanted to play with them.

I love the vintage style of them, I have some vintage Valentine's cards given to my Dear Grandmother when she was a child in school and I cherish them. I love to take them out and look at them, they have a charm that you don't see much anymore.

Anyway I hope Susan's Mother enjoys the card as much as I enjoyed making it, I may have to join a Halloween swap...

Fishing Teddy Bo

Quick post today to show you all this darling Teddy Bo image that I got the other day, fun to color and play with. I purchased the swinging Teddy Bea too, I will try to get a card with her posted soon. My new Big Shot came in on Friday, I had one of the first Sizzix machines and it doesn't fit the new flower die that I purchased from SU a few months back. Finally I will be able to use it. Yay!

Inside says "To One Spectacu-lure Father!" My Dear Father-in-law was a fisherman, he doesn't do much of it anymore I don't think. He probably gets tired of all the fishing cards I give him. LOL Now I need to figure out something for my Husband...

Bugaboo Digital

My post today is the Brat w/balloon digital from Bugaboo. They really have loads of darling images. I also used the cupcake trio from Meljen's Designs on the inside. I used my copic airbrush on the clouds, for a little different look.
How do you all keep track of your digitals? I have been printing them on copy paper and keeping each company I buy on a different page. I also am saving them all to a thumb drive for safety. (After all these can really add up after a little while. Hehe) I'd like to know other options that may work better so give me your input please!

I found some really nice stuff today at The Cutting Cafe. I haven't purchased any yet, but they have some backgrounds digital which I really haven't seen before now.

What type of image just really grabs you? I would love to know what makes you think "I just can't live without buying/checking out this". Mine is always Halloween items, anywhere I go whether your blog or a stamp company etc. I always check out the Halloween section if there is one.

So of course I purchased a Halloween stamp from here, already bought some rubber from Crafty Secrets too. I buy to many and forget what I have come Halloween then have to buy more of course! LOL The paper I used is from SU an older set that I had not cracked open until now and I am trying to get out of the comfort zone on the colors I am using with my copics. Wee Suzy

I purchased this digital a few weeks ago from Wee Stamps and finally got around to playing with it, she is so much fun to color and isn't she adorable? She just has the sweetest look. The papers I used are from Walmart, I loved the softer colors and just had to pick them up. I swore to myself I would buy only 6 x 6's from now on but they don't sell them, and they didn't have any in the 8 1/2 x 11 size either. So with my left overs today I am going to make another one similar to this. I may use my new Bugaboo image for that one.

Here are some other shots of the card laying down.I took these shots on my back deck the top one was in a shaded area because the one I took in the sun had speckles on it. What is that from I wonder?

It looks like we are going to have a nice day here today, for a change... We had frost here last night. I am happy to see some sun but more thankful that we are not having problems that many other areas are experiencing with flooding, tornadoes, mud slides etc.. My heart goes out to all that are experiencing these.

Sassy Cheryl's Graduation Girl

My dear Niece graduated last weekend, I made this card from a Sassy Cheryl's digital that I found. Here is a picture of it laying down, for some reason these seem to be better pictures... LOL (Less shake)

Here is the complete card. As you can see I kept this on the simple side not a lot of fluff if you will. This is generally more my style, I try to go past my simple style and some days have a very hard time with it. I believe these are the days I feel I have lost my "mojo". Is it because I am trying to go outside the box? I like challenges for this reason but do they help or just take us away from our comfort zone for a short while? I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

I haven't had as much of a chance to create anything with my studio being used as a guest room, DH is still building our "tiny house" that our son and his girlfriend will be living in when it is completed. I will try to remember to post some pictures of this as it is quite the little house. For anyone interested in knowing more about these you can check some out at Tumbleweed Tiny House. Ours is a little larger than the ones that you will see at Tumbleweed, Hubby built it so we could have a bedroom on the main floor also. We originally were going to live in this ourselves but our move prompted us to buy something right away, so since we own a half acre, it will be our guest house instead. We really thought our guests would love to stay in a space just for them. Who knows I could possibly use it as a studio down the road too! :-O

Wee Stamps Birds on a Swing

Hello, so sorry I haven't posted in a little while, I had company come and spend a few days with us. Our Son and his girlfriend are moving to our little town! We are so excited to have at least one child very close to us. Eric got a job offer and will be here on Thursday this week to start. He will be staying in my craft room for a while however... I am not sure how it will work but I am hoping it will still give me a chance to craft when he is at work at least. Anyway this card was so fun to make, I coordinated the envelope, bookmark, card and the inside of the card all with matching digi's from Wee Stamps. This little stamp was so cute, I had to buy it! Of course while you are there you don't buy just one you silly... I bought only 2, which is pretty good for me.

These little bookmarks are very quick and easy to make, I wanted to give my recipient a little something extra.

So here is the finished card, just a simple little card. I did however just get my Elegant Edges cartridge for my Cricut and I used it to cut both the card front and the bookmark front (image area) and also got to play with my new copic airbrush! (I didn't use it on the bookmark and you can tell!) This was a fun little tool to use, if you have one of the Stampin' Up type you would love this one. You won't have one arm with a lot more muscle than the other. LOL Maybe mine just doesn't work as good but I really have to put out to get a little spray on my page. Anyway I have had a great week at the Post Office :) I love getting new items, I am still waiting to receive my first set of Magnolia's from the Club. I don't know when they will come but I am hoping the summer ones will be soon.

I don't usually finish the envelope as I did this one, but it really gives it a nice polished look don't you think? Copics do bleed on the envelope but it wasn't to bad. I put a piece of paper in the envie while coloring so not to bleed thru to the other side. I hope you all have a fantastic week and I hope to get a few more items done soon.

Meljen's Topsy Turvy Cake

Oh my I see more of these in my future, I love these Easel cards. They are so easy to make for a different type of card. If you haven't tried one I really recommend these. For this card I used Meljen's Topsy Turvy digital image it can be found at Whimsy Stamps. I printed it a total of three times, twice real small for the inside of the card. I loaded it with stickles as you can see, I left the main body of the cake white as this is my sister's favorite! I used some paper I have had for sometime, the DP on the front of the card says Sisters are Forever.

My sister and I are very close, we lived in the same town for the last 5 years until I moved back to Nevada recently. She worked for me in WY so we spent a lot of time together. I hope she enjoys her card that I have made for her, it's not like being there for her birthday but she knows I love her and miss her.

Tips for an Exceptional, Superb and Powerful Life

I haven't got a card uploaded lately but ran across this very good post and wanted to share it with you all.

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.

2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.

3. Buy a DVR. Tape your late night shows and get more sleep.

4. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, "My purpose is to__________ _ today."

5. Live with the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm, Empathy.

6. Watch more movies, play more games and read more books than you did in 2010.

7. Make time to practice meditation, yoga, tai chi, and prayer. They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.

FS219 Coffeestamper

Today's Featured Stamper is Sue aka Perk aka coffeestamper over at SCS. Sue has a fabulous gallery to peruse and I love her work. She is always wonderful about commenting on a person's gallery. I try to emulate her with that, I know that comments make a person's day. This is the card I chose to case. This image is from Whipper Snapper and she is just the cutest little thing with her dust bunnies. On the inside of the card I decorated and it says "i'd rather be stampin'"
I know it is a little bizarre I was stamping... LOL This was my first completed project in a whole week, I have lots started and none finished. Kind of lost my mojo in there somewhere this week, have images all colored up, card stock laid out for the cards (4 actually) and just didn't seem right... I can't stand days like that. Sometimes the featured stamper brings out the best in me. I started one for the QFTD too but haven't gotten that one completed yet... Yikes it will be there CarrollAnn (Mrs. Boz)I just have to get on it.

I really wanted to use these bright and fun colors, I do find if I decide on my paper first I am much better off. Picking paper after coloring the image can be very hard at least for me... :) Maybe I just need a class or two? Anyone know where I can go?

Mo's Digital Pencil Cherry

This very cute digital is from Mo's Digital Pencil Too, she has some of the cutest images! This is a little bit newer one I believe. I also grabbed the little cook and have that card almost done. Anyway back to Cherry here, I don't know if you can see she has a sparkle in her eye's...

I felt she needed that touch of bright green to her sweet little outfit, Oh if I only had a Granddaughter, this outfit is so so cute.
These papers are from Graphic 45 and SU. I colored her with Copic markers. The bow here in the pics looks orange but is Real Red from SU.
My picture taking gets worse everyday, I take them over and over and most come out blurry... Sad I must have the shakes! LOL So what I do to fix this little problem since I don't have a tripod is set my camera on something hard so that it won't shake,(unfortunately sometimes still does) maybe I drink to much coffee? It could be after all I had my own shop for a year and a half and I do love the stuff.

A card for the Featured Stamper at Splitcoast this week. Congrats to Becky Spinks for being the FS today! Here is Becky's card that I chose to case.

Here is my story and I am sticking to it... I tried and tried to merge this stamp with the stamp called Garden Fence (both Meljen Design stamps) on my PSE last night, uurrggg! I can not use that program, so I looked up tutorials on youtube, one had no sounds and the lady whipped thru there so fast there was no way to follow her! When you are older like me and the screen is not as large as your computer screen, well let me just say that was a worthless waste of time. I am aging and need a magnifing glass to see... LMBO Oh well, so this morning after attempting again and did get two layers on the screen they just didn't blend together and mask the way the should I finally gave up and used just the bird house image. It took me longer to try to figure all that out than to make the whole card!

So I would love love love to hear from anyone that can point me in the direction that I should go to, to find help on this very perplexing problem that I have with PSE. (I am running an older version 7.0 and until I can run it partially don't really want to spend money to get newer version.)

Easter Magnolia (my version)

I believe this is really Ladybug Tilda (not sure if that is her real name there are two that have ladybugs) I just left off the ladybug and covered her hand with the egg. I am entering this in the Just Magnolia Challenge using a Magnolia stamp, Fussy and Fancy Challenge requiring a kids card, and the Stampin for the Weekend requiring an Easter theme. I layed the circle part of the card out as a Easter Egg shape. I have never done ~~three~~ five challenges in one so it was interesting... (Have now added it to 2 more challenges!)

This card was a challenge alright! LOL My Martha Stewart punch that I used messed up 3 pieces of card stock, I cut my egg shape what seemed like 6 times trying to get the right size and even then didn't get it the exact size I would have really liked. Right now I am just thankful that I managed to get it done in a day. I used Daisie Company Digital Papers, my cricut which is a first for me (had it for years never worked the way I liked until now, it helps when you find out how to run it!) The Copics used in creating this card were: E27, 25, 33, 02,00 and 0000, RV02, YG11, B21 and B000. I also used Stickles glitter on her dress and egg, the flowers were some I purchase at a Big Lots years ago that I had not used. I am trying to use items I have rather than buying lots of new embellishments. Is it me or do these things change like we change our clothes daily? I feel funny using old ones, but then some of the old ones are coming back again. I sold lots of them in 2 yard sales that I had last summer but still have more than 1 person should. I was beginning to feel like a hoarder I had so much!

This is my submission for the Colour Create Challenge
that is for a pink and black card. I thought of my daughter Danielle, she has pink boxing gloves tatooed on her wrist and she loves the colors black, white and Red. When I found this image at Kenny K's I immediately had to get it obviously. I am getting hooked on buying these digital stamps bought two more today from Mo's Digital Pencil... Oh my who knew stamping would be so easy one day? And no storage of stamps... Now I really need a good printer though. I ruined two of these images yesterday even after heat setting and time lapse. Finally made it though!

My flower was a free digital from Jak Heath, and my polka dot papers are from Pixelscrapper.com and they too are free. One thing about digital stuff is you can't beat free! Kenny K's Teen Idol Digital

This is a Kenny K's Digital called Teen Idol, I bought this for a nephew (Derek Gage) who has a birthday coming up. There are some great ones for teens, adults and a few pretty risque ones for adults too.

This guy just resonates cool don't ya think? Here is the finished card. It says "you know what your birthday means?" Inside it reads "you're even cooler than last year!" I found the saying just by typing in kids cool birthday sayings in Google. It is amazing what you can find out there.

Oh it has been such a struggle to get those boxes at the bottom of each post going but I finally got them working today, I know sometimes people don't want to take the time to comment so a box to check may come in handy for them. This is my submission for the Saturday sketch challenge and the FS217 Irene, she has some really great cards so I chose this one to case I changed a few things and it becomes a Saturday Sketch Challenge also. You will find a link to Saturday sketch challenge below and on the right (purple box). I hope I did Irene justice, her card is fantastic! These are both Meljen's Digital Designs.

A closer look at the card laying down, you can see I added some stickles to the frosting on the cupcakes. These fold flowers can be a challenge in themselves! LOL

Another Sunflower for the Queen for the Day at SCS

Another sunflower card that I cased for the Queen for the Day Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. The Queen this week is Lois Bak, Lois is so good about taking the time to comment on so many cards. She is a true jewel! Anyway this is the card that I chose to case. I changed the Sunflower to one I already own (and if you check in alot just used a few days ago) changed the corner stamp to the words bloom different dp and ribbon but same basic layout overall. This is the first QFTD challenge I have done since returning to the stamping world and hope to do many many more.
Copics used were YR07, YR04, Y19,YG25,G24, E25, E33 and to outline B21.

Spring has sprung in our little town!

Just a few quick cards today, we are clearly having our spring. One of our climbing rose bushes has leaves coming out on it and our orchard trees are starting to show signs of life. We were very concerned because when we bought our place here in August it had been empty since last January and the grass was dry and weeds were growing everywhere. But worst of all many of the trees looked like they wouldn't make it. We have approx. 75 trees and none of them are less than 10 - 12 ft. tall. Needless to say we are very excited to see them budded out and living. Trees evidently will save themselves by shutting themselves down. Our grass however is not looking as promising. So we have some work ahead of us...
Anyway these cards were made for the local Senior Center, they sell them to the locals since our town is so very small and has no where else to purchase them. I joined in with 4 other ladies yesterday (finally getting out of the house and meeting people) and I had a wonderful time. They meet every week for 2 to 3 hrs to make cards. We chat so much we don't get lots done, that is why I chose to work on them at home.

Hmm Sunflower/Magnolia

Hmm do you ever have one of those days where nothing seems to come out right? Today was one of those for me. (Really unfortunate since it was 68 degrees here today) I saw some gorgeous Sunflowers on SCS and thought wow I need to do some of them. They are so cheery with the yellow and golds in them. So I used this very large Rubbernecker stamp I bought a few years back and wanted to add this sitting Magnolia also purchased a few years ago. Just don't feel the love for this one, don't really know why I bought it. But I do that alot... You don't even see this stamp around much. The last time I colored her up, just on the next page over was even worse than this. So I am on the fence about this card, it is okay but its needy of something. If you have feedback on a way to fix this card I would love to hear from you. I am going to try to post the copics that I use in my cards from now on, I hope to not have a senior moment and forget. I do however sometimes use Prismas so I will be sure to let you know when I do.

I am also in search of an answer to adding a Like, Dislike and No Comment box that could just be checked. I have marked it on my design/posts area and saved but it doesn't show up. If anyone can give me info on this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for stopping by today and have a blessed day!

My very first card of the day is a tiled card, I had not ever tried one of these and wanted to give it a shot. My Alene's clear glaze must be old or something because it left areas that didn't look quite right to me. Any way this was a fun card, the image is a Northwoods Rubber that I got a few years back. It is a very large image to really needs the 6 x 6 size that I used here. This is my Tri-Shutter card, these are a fun card to give a try. I don't like the way mine is when it is closed, it doesn't lay flat. Do any of you have ideas on how to get it to laydown better? If you do I would love to hear from you. I love to hear from everyone anyway! Here is the same card open, I used SU Bloomin' Beautiful stamps and DigiScrap Kits for the papers. I really like buying Digital papers, you can find all the matching ones and don't even have to leave the comforts of your home! She has some really great stuff over there. Pictures of the small snow storm we got last week, it was so pretty. We haven't gotten much snow here in our little town. It will probably make for a dry summer, but I am keeping my fingers crossed we will get some rain this spring. Which by Friday is suppose to get in the 70's, I know don't hate me... I will be out working in the yard for sure that day. This is our newest family member "Rocky" isn't he just the cutest little guy? He is a 10 week old pomeranian, we love this breed of dog. They are loyal and loving little dogs. He has such a sweet dispostion, and he really loves his big sister. She is a year and 3 months old and really needed a little guy to play with. Maggie's (the mini magnolias)

Wow, I got my new Mini Magnolias the other day, they are so fun. I love them because you can make a regular sized card with them and not use the whole front of the card. I make some 6 x 6 now and then but usually do 4.25 x 5.5. I am not very up to date on all the new embellishments and doing the larger sized cards. I will get in the groove soon hopefully. Just very glad to be back making a few cards now and then. I really don't have any where to purchase the items needed with the exception of the web, and for me that can be very dangerous!! I just can't stop myself... I used digi papers that I bought at Country Artwork/DigiScrap Kits for this card. Trina has a few really cute Digi stamps that I bought also and the prices are GREAT! Check them out. For this card I stamped Tilda, masked and stamped the fence and masked that also then ran my Hollyhock wheel from stampin' up over all of it. Colored with copics. I have some new colors coming soon and I am excited to see the new colors. Pinks are hard to pick out from online stores. Hopefully the ones I have coming are going to work better for me. Well I finally did it, I made a card. It has been so long and I was very reluctant to get back to it after moving. Everything is in disarray from moving which makes it so hard to find the things you know you have and need for the task. I have some of my room together but no longer have the room that I had before that was totally devoted to my crafts. Where we live is so small we are lucky to have a grocery store and Post Office. Yeah it is small! LOL Anyway here is the card that I made today, hope to get going on it a lot more now.

Happy Monday everyone! This card was inspired by a stamp I bought years ago when stamping was just a want to thing for me. In other words I didn't stamp but loved this Northwoods Rubber stamp. I bought it at a store that was right down the street from my home called Craft Mart in Chandler AZ. The store was just like a Hobby Lobby, I loved it and it has since closed unfortunely. I believe this is the first real card I have made with this stamp, I bought it used as the gave classes there. They also sold a lot of Whipper Snapper stamps which are fairly hard to find in stores. Anyway hope you all like the card and have a spooktacular halloween!

Happy Wednesday everyone, hope this finds everyone working hard on their challenges and cards. I just love fall and decided to make this Tilda a fall one by adding the SU Fall harvest pumpkins to it. I purchased her from 7 Kids College fund. I made the card and it didn't have the ribbon, leaves etc. on it and so I added them afterward. I have a mental block when it comes to these things, I don't know why this is but it drives me crazy. I am a horder and maybe that is why? Anyway they got some use in todays card. I know this one is a little risque but, I just had to have it for some one special. I will not name the person in case she reads my blog.... We are having our first snow day here and I am closed on Tuesday and Wednesdays so I went to check out Victoria Case for the Digi stamps they carry and found this jewel, I also bought Heidi who looks like the St. Pauli girl. If you are looking for a guy stamp, and don't want the normal fishing etc. check these out. These digi stamps are nice because you can print them and get them now, I am a very impatient person and don't like waiting for the mail to come with my new stamps always so this is a great solution to that. The other nice thing about these is you can adjust the size to your needs. Anyway hope you enjoy her.

Hi everyone, I realize I have been MIA for sometime now but I have opened a business and it is consuming much of my time. Which of course it should.... :) I opened a small coffee shop back in May and we are doing so well. Our little town is such a great place to live and have something like this in. We have some really fantastic people here and I am very grateful to all of them. I will try to post some pictures of it soon. Anyway I have had a chance recently to do a few stamping projects and thought I would upload them. The checkbook covers are so fun and easy if you haven't tried one yet you may want to. I purchased my covers online from American Kelco. I have made these before and my Mother's finally wore out. She asked me if I would make her a new one so hers is the flowered one. I of course have the coffee one! This card is for my nephew Logan Cook for his birthday. He lives in Arizona so probably doesn't really get to see many frogs but if he could I bet he would be out there catching them! He is such a cutie I really thought this little guy was perfect for him. The checkbook cover with the flowers are of course stampin' up and the coffee themed one is a Paper company studio clear stamp set I got at JoAnn's then the little guy with the frog is High Hopes. Yay the cookies got all done, we ended up making over 2800 cookies and candy. There are 220 boxes total, they are in two rows at least. Thankfully my Sister helped us out with it! Wow it was fun but it was hard on the feet standing so much here is a picture of what all the boxes looked like when they were completed. The event was a total sucess from my understanding. I got a new stamp!! This is the Fisherman from Dog Gone Stamps, is he a dream or what? I just love the detail in him and I don't even fish.... Reminds me so much of going to Alaska though. He is colored with copics and the DP is BG two scoops. Hope everyone is having a great weekend and ready for Monday.

Hi everyone, what a crazy weekend. This is the first chance I got to post because yesterday DH and I baked over 1,000 cookies! On top of that we made sugared pecans and coconut haystacks for 200 people. We used a commercial kitchen at the new Event Center and it is so quick. We barely got 5 trays which held 10 dozen cookies (2 dozen per tray) put in and couldn't keep up with making the trays to get them in that fast! I thought I probably looked like Lucy trying to keep up with the candy episode, minus being skinny and redheaded. LOL It was so much work but so fun. Anyway this is a Whipper Snapper image called Dust Bunny collector, I just felt the need to have her but then what is new right? I have dust bunnies, I am sure you are all just gasping in amazement but it is true.... :( I just don't have time for cleaning as much as I should and with wood floors in much of the house what can I say. I just got these nesties today from 7 Kids College fund. They have so many things and are soon adding Magnolia's too! My punch is the Eyelet border punch from SU, all the papers are imaginisce. I used copics (from 7 kids college fund also) to color her colors E02, E00, E33, RV11, RV19 and C3.

Scrapbooking Retreat

Here are a few pictures I took at the retreat in Salina UT, we had so much fun. The first picture is our group. The next is MaReecia, Kim, MaryAnn and Jamie is the last. Jamie is the reason we do this! These ladies are a hoot to be around and my Sister and I always have a blast. We love to pick on each other and MaryAnn (Jamie & Kim's Mother) told me we shouldn't fight because we are family. We weren't even fighting! She would be shocked if we had been cause we can fight. LOL This is an annual event held at this store and has been going on for 6 years. This is only our 2nd year but we will go back. If you ever get a chance to go to something similar I say do it!

This is another new Sarah Kay I received recently that I fell in love with, she reminds me so much of our daughter when she was little. She even had a dress that was similar to that. I used copics to color her these are the colors RV11, V04, V01, Y15, 110, YR14 and E33. I thought this paper was perfect for this and I am trying so hard to use up the extras after making one card, the problem you ask? I don't like showing a card and using the same paper on the very next card. Does this happen to any of you? You will see this paper with my girl snowboarder down aways. Anyway I love the soft colors of it and thought what the heck! I am off to Salina today and will be home tomorrow night, I will try to leave a post on Sunday.

I wanted to get this little flower girl from Sugar Nellie inked up today and I made it, she is so cute and carefree. I colored her with copics and prismas. I used my oval nestabilities to cut it out and roughed up the edges with my SU tool, sewed around the edges with my machine and it was done. Oops forgot the hardware and inking. Hope you enjoy her as much as I do. My Sister Ann and I are off to Salina Utah next friday for a annual scrapbooking event there, it is a blast there must be 150 or more women there and what fun we have. Our group alone has 10 women and when we get together we just laugh all day long. It should be a hoot. Wish you all could come! Have a fabulous week everyone.

I love doing these challenges, sketch challenges by far are my favorite. This is another Mojo Monday sketch. I used MME paper and didn't get the image centered as well as I would have liked, this snowboarder is another of the Dog Gone Stamps. I think this one is so cute and versatile for a girl or boy. My 2nd layer on the right top part of the card didn't show as much as it should have probably. this is colored with copics, I have just received some more to add to my small collection so I feel I need to use them. Today's card is one for my children, even though they are grown I love making them a special card for special occassions. They told me after Christmas when I sent them and everyone store bought cards that it just wasn't the same and they missed my cards because they treasure them. How sweet is that? So I hurriedly made them (and their significant others) a card to get in the mail tomorrow. I really love this cow called "Custard" from Sugar Nellie and I just got it in the mail. My Mojo Monday card, I forgot to put the ribbon on and had it all glued down! I do that kind of thing all the time, get so focused on a couple of things get done and go "Wow I can't believe I forgot it". Anyway this is it for tonight, maybe I need to learn how to get everything out before putting the card together. What works for the rest of you? Today's submission for the Featured Stamper BevR. This card is the one I cased. The little bear is a Dog Gone Stamp you can check them out by the link on the right. They are coming out with some new stamps soon so be sure to check them out. They really have some fun and unique things. Ms. Bear is colored with prisma and gamsol and highlighted with sparkling H20's. You can see I actually sewed on this card something I have only tried one other time and it shows.... :( one side is much closer in the stitches than the other 3 but what can I say I need some more practice and now I think I will keep trying. I love that look, Ila at Artfully Ila does stitching on most of hers and I have always been envious. Anyway hope everyone has a spectacular week, see ya soon.

This is my submission for the Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS. Today's feature is Vicky Gould you can check out her gallery here. I changed the stamp, added dew drops different dp which is kind of special, this is paper I purchased for digital scrapbooking at Digitalscrapbookpages.com I just purchased this set by Christina Blomberg called Good Luck Greens and printed it on my Whisper White paper at home. They really have some nice papers to choose from. I hope to check out digital a little further and if I get any great pages I will post them for everyone to see. If anyone does this already and has any great tips I would love to hear from you. I have done a download of Photoshop Elements to try it out for 30 days, just did this yesterday and really need a class I think..... :) Hope you all enjoy this little guy, he is a Dog Gone Stamp check them out with the link on the right side of my blog they have added some really cute stamps just in the last few days. Hello everyone! I just wanted to put a quick note up to let all you ladies with extra cards sitting around know, there is a need for them out there. I personally hold on to way to many of the cards I make so I am sending them to Pat Adam, she distributes them to kids in the hospital there in Detroit. She is requesting Valentine cards for them and they must be to her by 2/7/09. I am sending her my Easter cards left over from last year and various others. This little girl and her pig were so cute I couldn't resist buying it, I have had it for a few months now but am just getting around to playing with it. DP is some doodlebug design that I picked up at Roberts Crafts. Picture is colored with Prisma pencils and gamsol. This card by Sandy aka "shulsart"on SCS was my inspiration for mine. This is Lori's Card. As you can see I changed some things, brads, use of colors and stamp. I hand drew the background and it shows..... Valentine Pig

Wow can you believe it 3 posts in 3 days? I am back!!! Well today I worked on this cute little valentine pig from High Hopes, I made the cuts with my new cricut machine I got for christmas. I also used some Basic Grey paper that I fell in love with and just had to buy. I hope to get much use from it in the future. I am working on some wall words, but that hasn't gone the absolute best.... If anyone knows of any tips on that I would love to hear from you. I will let you know when I end up with some good ones to hang up. I have a fabulous saying though. Hope you all have a great week. (This photo was edited on 2/10/09 I touched up the pig somewhat with a deeper color as he was washed out so badly, then I added Twinkling H20's in addition to that to really pop him out some.)

Hey hope everyone is having a fantastic New Year and had a terrific Holiday season. I have been out of touch for a while and want to say I am sorry, to all you faithful readers. I am planning to get back into the swing of things very soon. This little golfer card is for my brother, his birthday is coming up soon and he loves to golf so how perfect is that? The stamps are made by a brand new company called DogGoneStamps They have some really cute stamps and since they are new they are coming out with more all the time. Mirror Lake UT

Here they are, that teardrop DH built is so much fun to camp in. If you have never seen one they are only big enough to sleep in and the kitchen is obviously on the outside. It is a 4 x 8 length total. He has built 3 of them the last one is aluminum sided and is a 5 x 10 which will hold a queen size bed or close to it. The area we camped in is North eastern UT around Kamas. It is gorgeous up there and there are tons of little lakes for fishing. Many of them must be hiked into or if you bring horses you can ride in. Very fun area for adults and children to go to.

Hi everyone, just had to take a few minutes today to play with my new stamps and make a Halloween Card. Halloween is my favorite holiday, I love fall and watching kids having fun on Halloween. I have to be home on that evening to see all the cute little outfits that the little ones wear. I am still working weekends for a while longer so posts will still remain sporadic for a bit, but I promise as soon as I am done I WILL BE BACK! I am going to post some pictures of our recent camping trip (only one we got to take... :( ) for everyone to see. The area is gorgeous if you ever get a chance to go.

Stampin' Day today!

Wow, it has been so long since I have stamped or posted anything. I am so excited I stamped some Thank You cards that were simple but yet I think they will do the trick. They are made with Nice and Easy Notes from Stampin' Up and I used copics to color them. The colors are E Eggplant, O Olive and S Sun. These are to give to people that helped us on Saturday with our Company Picnic. We had a great day, Dan (DH) and I sold shaved ice at the event also it was a blast. There were approx. 450 people who came and we planned games for the adults and children. Our business has been just crazy this summer, it has been sunny and hot so a nice cold shaved ice goes down pretty well. Then about a month ago we added coffee and blended drinks, such as blended coffees, smoothies and Tea based smoothies. They have really been doing well. Our town has the largest free concert in the state, at the end of July, this place was hopping. It has been nice being so busy this summer, but we are also looking forward to late fall for some time off. Working full time along with running the business on the weekends has been a real adjustment for me. I even took a vacation day today, just to have a day off. It has been wonderful!

Hello Out There!

Hey everyone, hope you know I haven't forgotten you. Things are just as crazy as always here. Starting to work full time next week and doing the Ice on the weekends and Holidays just hasn't left me alot of time for anything, including cleaning my house.... yikes. Dust bunnies all over the wood floors, yuck. Anyway our Daughter is coming for a visit and DH doesn't know she is, how fun to suprise him. He doesn't read this so no worries! She will be here Friday and is only staying for 3 or 4 days. Always fun having the kids around, we had such a terrific vacation in AZ. It was hot hot and we were loving it. Spent lots of time with our son and his girlfriend and had tons of laughs. I hope to get back to crafting soon, I better before I lose my touch (haha what touch!). Anyway hope you are all well and keeping up with your crafts and having a fun summer!

Snow in June

I am looking outside right now and it is snowing! Is it any wonder on my SCS in location I say "The place that global warming forgot!"? Dear Husband just planted our bedding plants finally since we are leaving for AZ tomorrow morning. They won't last in the house forever, they are starting to look sickly. I hope we don't end up like the place in Washington state, but then I don't want to have the problems of Indiana or New York either. I just can't wait to be somewhere warm for a few days. I know some of you are saying warm?? Ok hot, scorching hot. I will try to post a picture with this post later today if I get a chance, tomorrow is my Sister Ann's birthday and Monday is our Son's 23rd. Oops didn't do a card for him yet.... A girl get well.... This one is a Rubbernecker stamp and I put crystal effects on the chocolate at the top but it doesn't show in the picture. This cow is just so sick looking with his tongue hanging out. Any one for a coffee break? I need one today, the weather is cold and rainy here which is the way it has been for weeks. Stressed? Not Me!

Here is a fun card I made today on my DAY OFF! Yeah, I finally got to make something. It has been so long and I am feeling like I have lost my knack for card making, I know just about everyone gets to feeling that way sometimes. Even when I have an hour or so just haven't felt like coming down to my room and creating, could be because our basement is torn up.... My husband has been changing the water lines in our old house to get rid of the small galvanized ones so he has sheet rock dust everywhere. It doesn't seem to matter how much I sweep until it is over it is never over.... So rather than look at it I stay upstairs on the computer or busy with the business. We are still working every weekend right now but in a few weeks we are taking a week off to go to Phoenix and see my Mom, sister and our son. We are excited to be going down even though it is hot right now, it is still cold here. Gets down to around 35 at night still and that is too cold. Would love to hear what you think should go inside the card. I am not really sure how to word this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Good morning everyone, just had to get a posting in today. I feel so bad when I don't get at least one done in a week. We are working the Ice biz this weekend again so no crafting. This is a card I made about a month ago but hey at least I'm posting right? Todays is a rubbernecker stamp that I just fell in love with. The inside of the card says "Hey, how did my Moms butt get back there?" For those of you in your aging years such as myself I think you can appreciate it. So sorry I didn't have a post last weekend, My husband and I opened our shaved ice business for the summer this last weekend and it makes it tough to craft. We don't run it full time so we try to devote as much time as we can to it while the weather is nice. We have so much fun with it, we have some really great customers and if you ever get into our area please stop by and try one, you will be hooked for life! They are very yummy. How is everyone's Saturday going? I have been wanting to try a Michelle Zindorf style card for sometime now and although I tried yesterday I just couldn't do it. So I started over today and wallah! I think I got a pretty close one. I did two but my brayer leaves black marks even after being cleaned. How many of you have tried one of these cards? Hillbillie Matthew

Here's a little story, we have some neighbors and they have the cutest little guy who is 3 now, his name is Matthew. Matthew is the smallest Hillbillie I have ever seen. Matthew is the wild child who does things like pee off the back porch and wears a Festus looking hat for those of you old enough to remember Gunsmoke! Anyway they took a trip to Yellowstone last year and the tourists took more pictures of Matthew because of his Hat! Karen (his Mom) said they were like paparazzi, it was so bad. So needless to say I thought immediately of Matthew when I saw this little guy. Hope you all like the story of Matthew and the card that portrays him!

Bloomin' Beautiful Stamps

I just received this set last night, I have been wanting it for a few weeks now and thought I better get it before it was too late. This set is out of the Mini occasions catalog which closes at the end of the month. I wasn't sure it would make it into the new catalog. For the colors I chose the base is pale plum and layered with Whisper White, then used Almost Amethyst that was cuttlebugged for the next layer. I then did a white and pale plum again with the image. The image was painted with reinkers in both the same colors and certainly celery for the stem. I used itty bitty backgrounds for the dots in pale plum again. Just a few spots of stickles for the shine.

I took my music player off, I read somewhere that most people don't like them on blogs and I do understand everyone has different tastes in music. Please leave feedback if you would like regarding this, I am always interested in other peoples feelings on anything. If you get a chance drop down to the bottom of my page and sign my guestbook.

I wanted to use Frankenstein from Whipper Snapper because of the square card, he is a tough one. I still had to cut off most of the stamped image. It is extremely large. The Just a note is a High Hopes image that I received last week. The wording on Just a note is a Rubber Stampede stamp.

Just a quick post with my card today, this is a Northwoods Rubber stamp. I saw someone on SCS with it and fell in love. I used Elegant Eggplant as my base and layered it with Carribean Blue (from the SU in colors 2007), and Lavender Lace. I used my paisley Cuttlebug on one layer to give it a little pop. I sell cards to locals for different occasions so this one will be a Mother's Day card probably, I am really bad about putting wording on the fronts of cards, does anyone else do this? I always think what if I want it for something else and I have already given it a specific occasion? One of my quirks I guess.... Have a wonderful day!

High Hopes

Is there any thing better than a Day off in the Spring? Okay maybe some of you are saying ...yes, but my guess is most of you are saying NO. I just love spring , today I had a day off and cleaned the house! My hubby will be shocked when he comes home... I was even happier when I checked my mail and found that my High Hopes stamps came in. I have been waiting for them because well *sigh* I am a High Hopes Virgin, until today. I called Tina at HH Friday concerned that I hadn't gotten them, she was so very sweet and pleasant to chat with. Did you know you can make ornaments with stamps, she was telling me about these and she has some on her SCS gallery. Her SCS name is Pickled-Tink. Anyway she assured me they should be in within a few days. I'm not a very patient person. I love these stamps though and they were worth the small wait. So here is a sampling of my first HH Card. I don't know what to add in that empty space on the top left, it was worse with out the doodling. If you have any ideas I would love to hear them. Hope you all like it.

I think we all have some when we really stop to think about it and thats what makes us original. Lauri's quirk...if I miss the first episode of a serial tv show (like LOST, or 24) I will not watch the rest of the season (or in the case of LOST the entire run) but will wait until reruns or rent the entire season.Is that quirky ??
